Nomination Process
Any student, group of students, employee, or alumni of Columbus State
Community College may nominate faculty for the Distinguished Teaching Award.
The nominator(s) must file this signed and completed form with Human
Resources.
Nominations can be received up to the last business day of
the year for which the instructor is nominated. For instance, 2010
nominations can be submitted until December 30th 2010. Those submitted after
the deadline will be considered for 2011.
Please describe how the nominee demonstrates each of the distinguished
teaching criteria. These criteria, which have direct impact on the
quality of instruction in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical
settings, are as follows:
1. Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the subject matter.
2. Establishment of good rapport with students
3. Course organization and course content.
4. The use of a variety of instructional methods and materials in support
of student learning.
Each response should be limited to no more than 150 words.
