Orientation Options

 GET ORIENTED!  We offer a variety of options to orient you to Columbus State and help you get off to a successful start.

CAMPUS TOURS are led by CSCC students and give you an opportunity to explore the Columbus campus.  This option is for individuals or families.  To arrange a campus visit or tour for a group of 5 or more, please call 614-287-5689. 

GETTING STARTED 101 ORIENTATION (GSO) is offered in two formats:
ONLINE (click here)
IN-PERSON – This one-hour, new student orientation group session is led by CSCC Admissions  staff. You’ll learn key things you need to know to have a successful start at Columbus State. Click here to make a reservation.                                                 

• Tip for success:  Pair your GSO with a campus tour.  Check the schedule and make reservations for a tour and a GSO right after!

COUGARWEB 101 SESSIONS are 30-minute, hands-on, group sessions led by CSCC Student Assistance Center staff.  You’ll learn how to use CSCC’s online services for registration, fee payment, looking up your grades, and much more!   Attend a CougarWeb 101 session after you have completed the Getting Started Orientation (GSO) online or in-person.  Click here to access the online CougarWeb manual. FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Financial Aid) WORKSHOPS are hands-on, group sessions where you will complete your FAFSA application with support from CSCC Financial Aid and Student Assistance Center staff. Click here to make a reservation
