Orientation Options

GET ORIENTED!  We offer a variety of options to orient you to Columbus State and help you get off to a successful start. 

Campus tours and Getting Started Orientation sessions will not be offered on dates in 2010 when campus is closed, including February 26, April 23, May 31, July 5, September 6, October 11, October 27, November 11, November 25-26, December 24, and December 31.

Campus Tours

CAMPUS TOURS are led by CSCC students and give you an opportunity to explore the Columbus campus.  This option is for individuals or families.  To arrange a campus visit or tour for a group of 5 or more, please call 614-287-5689.

Getting Started Orientation

GETTING STARTED ORIENTATION (GSO) is offered in two formats:

• ONLINE Click Here to download a PowerPoint version of the orientation

• IN-PERSON – This one-hour, new student orientation group session is led by CSCC Admissions  staff. You’ll learn key things you need to know to have a successful start at Columbus State. Click here to make a reservation.                                                 

Tip for success:  Pair your GSO with a campus tour.  Check the schedule and make reservations for a tour and a GSO right after!

CougarWeb Workshop

CougarWeb Workshop is a 30-minute, hands-on session led by our Student Assistance Center advisors. You will learn how to use CougarWeb, Columbus State's online service for registration, fee payment, checking your student e-mail and accessing Blackboard. Attend a CougarWeb Workshop following your COMPASS placement test.
